Call for Applications
Deadline August 2nd 2012
Project Development focused on children and family audiences in Feature Film, TV or Interactive and Cross Media Platforms and Games
PRIMEHOUSE is delighted to open the call for this year’s PRIME 4Kids&Family Workshop (formerly Pygmalion Plus). This MEDIA funded European program for writers and creative teams will support the development of projects for children, young people or family audiences. PRIME 4Kids&Family is designed to develop projects from an early stage and has proven to be a unique resource for professionals with a particular interest in these audiences.
Who can apply?
PRIME 4Kids&Family is open to experienced professional writers or creative teams with a project targeted at children´s / family audiences. Professionals working in script development may also take part as Team Support participants. Participants must be citizens of a member country of the EU MEDIA Program.
There are four places for team support participants who are usually producers, script editors or readers. Each will be attached to a specific group (feature film, TV movie, animated TV series, interactive media, cross platform projects, games) and work with the writers and the mentor offering support and assistance. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of the development process and a greater understanding of the writer’s task.
For writers, PRIME 4Kids&Family is an invaluable opportunity for professional development. For production companies and broadcasters the workshop is a productive and cost-effective resource for project development.

There are two residential sessions: the first will take place at the end of September and the second session in December 2012 in Ludwigsburg.
